What is your cancelation policy?
Please let me know by 10am on the day of your lesson by phone or email and you won’t be charged for cancelation. If notice is received later than that, the lesson will be chargeable as normal.
How much do you charge for lessons?
Violin Lessons in Wellington cost $35 for a half hour lesson and $65 for an hour lesson. Violin Lessons in Blenheim cost $35 for a half hour lesson and $65 for an hour lesson. See the Music Lessons page for details of all the amazing music lessons I offer.
Where do you hold your lessons?
In Wellington, I teach at my home in Brooklyn. The address is 27 Mornington Road, Brooklyn, Wellington 6021
In Blenheim, I teach at my studio. The address is 82 Maxwell Road, Blenheim 7201
Do you have specific teaching qualifications?
I hold the degree of Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Otago and a Postgraduate Diploma and a Bachelor of Music from New Zealand School of Music. I have taught extensively at a number of schools including Marlborough College in the UK, Columba College in Dunedin. I also have worked extensively for the education programmes of professional orchestras including Dunedin Symphony Orchestra and Southbank Sinfonia.

Can I listen in on my child’s violin lesson?
Absolutely! In fact I encourage it for my younger students. Learning the Violin is not a singular experience. Your child will benefit greatly from knowing that you support them on this adventure!
Is there a discount if i have more than one child wanting to learn with you?
Yes, I do offer a discount for multiple half hour lessons. Two 30 min lessons within the same family are charged as a $55 hour in Wellington and as a $65 hour in Blenheim.
Is there somewhere for parents and siblings to wait while lessons are taking place?
Yes – my living room! Make yourself at home in my open plan dining/living room with stunning views of the Brooklyn Turbine and grab yourself a cup of tea! I also have large library to entertain you and your young child.
